Haitian Ministries was formed in 2002 to support and work alongside Pastor Jean Paulite and the growing work God had placed on his heart.

Jean was born and raised in Haiti and comes from a unique background as the grandson of a voodoo priest. Through God’s grace, Jean came to faith in Christ and sensed a calling to ministry. Eventually, he felt led to move to the Dominican Republic, where he began preaching and planting churches in the Santiago area among the large Haitian population living there.

Many Haitians in this region face significant challenges, including poverty, displacement, and limited access to education and spiritual support. Jean’s vision has always been to bring the hope of the gospel while also helping build stable, Christ-centered communities.

Haitian Ministries was established to support this work through prayer, financial partnership, and personal involvement through mission trips. Our goal is to help provide stability for churches and communities by supporting local pastors, preachers, and teachers who are serving faithfully in their own neighborhoods.

By helping provide financial support for these leaders, we enable them to remain in their communities and continue their work of spiritual discipleship, education, and community development.

Jean and his wife, Julie, serve together faithfully in the ministry. Julie is an active leader in their congregation and is widely known for her warm spirit and gift of hospitality. Together they are raising three children who share their parents’ heart for service.

Their son, Jose, is currently attending college in Wichita, Kansas, where he is pursuing a degree with the goal of becoming a trauma physician. Their daughters, Ester and Devorah, both attended college in Santiago and are now working in the medical field as a doctor and a phlebotomist. In addition to their careers, they are actively involved in the churches, serving faithfully in worship,  children’s, and student ministries.

Haitian Ministries is a ministry of the Forest Park Church of Christ in Crowley, Louisiana. The work operates under the spiritual leadership of God, the oversight of the church elders, and the guidance of the Haitian Ministries board.
